Royal Cars Museum

The Royal Cars Museum plays an important role in meeting the expectations of visitors to the Niavaran Cultural-Historic Complex. The technical and technological features of the royal family’s vehicles, alongside their historical background and usage, allow for an appropriate and informative public display.
The establishment of this museum was initiated in April 2012, with the aim of organizing part of the collection stored in the complex's stores, optimizing preservation and protection systems, making the cars accessible to the public, strengthening the connection of younger generations with historical and cultural heritage, expanding the museum space of the complex, and attracting a wider audience. Thanks to the continuous efforts of specialists and administrators, the museum officially opened in July of the same year.
The museum building—originally used as a garage—features a single-floor space of 200 square meters, showcasing a selection of exclusive vehicles belonging to Pahlavi Royal family, various motorcycles owned by Royal Family’s children, and several model cars.
It is important to note that the Royal Car Museum of the complex is not a specialized automobile museum; rather, its focus is on the preservation and presentation of the collection from a historical and cultural perspective, offering visitors a narrative and introductory understanding of these unique objects.
